On 21st November 2009, DROP members represented the diverse heritage of the Red Cross Nordic United World College as well as DROP in an international event, Colourful Forde. This yearly event was held in a local community in Forde. Many people of different nations presented their respective cultures through food and souvenirs. Our stall was one of the kind where all the continents of the world were represented under the banner of DROP. Our members were seen as active participants of the event. Many of the members had made their national dishes and had displayed souvenirs which was very much liked and appreciated by the majority of visitors.

Where this event resulted in an appreciable amount of funds being raised, it also helped us to portray cultural diversity in its true essence. DROP is trying its best to promote its aims and goals through such events as well as to participate in many more similar ones.
DROP members attending this event were Daniel, Barbara, Thobile, Yvonne Yu, kakula, Joy Minalla, Tiffany, Anyuri, Octaviana, Jennyfer, Adrian, Maya, Ammanisa, Tangut, and Naina.
Kudos! To the members and for their hard work. It is highly appreciated.

Drop Fair

Relaxing massage. Exotic African hair braids. Latest style hair cuts. Diverse international souvenirs. Powered by refreshing and delicious snacks; these were the services enjoyed by the visitors of the grand DROP FAIR organized by the droppers on 20th February, 2010.
The services were warmly welcomed by the local community. Students and staffs from RCNUWC and residents of Haugland Rehabilitation Center had committed greatly in the day’s activities. At the end of the day, it all summed up to a profit of more than five thousand Norwegian kroners.
The success of the student-lead fair lies in the dedication and organized efforts of the droppers. Though, it would not have been possible without the guidance and support of our supervising teachers Peter Wilson and Daniel Toa-Kwapong.
The encouragement gained by this experience is a motivation for DROP to organize events of similar nature on an even bigger scale in the near future. Again, DROP would like to express its gratitude to the visitors, students and staff.
Truly, every drop counts.
Here is some pictures which are taken during the drop fair.
